NPD Engineer

Job Summary:
The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing heavy fabricaon projects, including machinery, equipment, and structural components. They will collaborate with cross-funconal teams to ensure the project meets the required specica¢ons, quality standards, and ¢melines. The Design Engineer must possess strong analy¢cal skills, exper¢se in design so¢ware, and be able to communicate eec¢vely with team members and stakeholders. Key Responsibili¢es: Design and develop heavy fabrica¢on projects, including machinery, equipment, and structural components Collaborate with cross-func¢onal teams to ensure projects meet the required specica¢ons, quality standards, and ¢melines Conduct research to support the design process and iden¢fy new technologies and materials that could improve project performance Prepare technical drawings and specica¢ons for manufacturing and construc¢on purposes Ensure project compliance with relevant regula¢ons and standards Monitor project progress, iden¢fy poten¢al issues, and provide solu¢ons to ensure the project stays on track Par¢cipate in project mee¢ngs, provide updates on progress, and collaborate with team members to address any challenges Provide technical support to the manufacturing and construc¢on teams during the produc¢on and installa¢on process Con¢nuously improve and op¢mize design processes to increase eciency, reduce costs, and improve quality Qualica¢ons: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related eld Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy fabrica¢on design, preferably in a manufacturing or construc¢on environment Prociency in CAD so¢ware, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar Strong analy¢cal skills and the ability to interpret technical data and specica¢ons Knowledge of industry regula¢ons and standards, such as ASME, ASTM, and OSHA Excellent communica¢on and collabora¢on skills, with the ability to work eec¢vely in cross- func¢onal teams Strong a¢en¢on to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet ¢ght deadlines Physical Requirements: The Design Engineer may be required to sit or stand for extended periods, li¢ heavy objects, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and visual acuity. They may also be required to visit manufacturing or construc¢on sites, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards.
