Candidate Profile: Technician – Hydraulic Equipment Maintenance Qualification Requirements ITI – Fitter or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (recognized institution). Solid understanding of hydraulic systems, components, and basic mechanical engineering principles. Experience 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of hydraulic equipment (e.g., hydraulic cylinders, pumps, hoses, valves, power packs, compactors, loaders, or similar machinery). Proven experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown diagnostics, and mechanical repair activities. Technical Skills Knowledge of hydraulic circuits, pressure settings, and fluid management. Ability to dismantle, inspect, repair, and assemble hydraulic components. Familiarity with mechanical assemblies, welding basics, and usage of workshop tools. Understanding of safety procedures related to hydraulic maintenance. Ability to read engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics, and service manuals. Responsibilities Expected Perform routine and preventive maintenance of all hydraulic equipment. Attend breakdowns, identify faults, and execute corrective actions with minimal downtime. Maintain service logs, inspection reports, and maintenance records. Coordinate with supervisors and production/operations team for equipment uptime. Ensure compliance with safety standards and housekeeping of workshop and worksite. Soft Skills & Attributes Good analytical and problem-solving ability. Willingness to work on field sites and in shifts if required. Discipline, punctuality, and ability to work under minimal supervision. Strong communication for interaction with technicians, engineers, and vendors. Preferred Additional Exposure Experience in solid waste handling equipment, compactors, or industrial hydraulic machinery (advantage). Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge is desirable.
