Description
Role Summary We are looking for a skilled NFVI Engineer with hands-on experience in the deployment, configuration, and management of virtualized network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in cloud-native technologies, virtualization platforms (OpenStack, VMware, KVM), and orchestration frameworks, with a passion for delivering carrier-grade infrastructure solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage NFVI environments for telecom networks. Implement Ericsson Cloud Infrastructure (ECI) or equivalent NFVI stacks. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues across virtual compute, storage, and networking. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate VNFs (Virtual Network Functions) and CNFs (Cloud-Native Network Functions). Support automation and orchestration using tools like Ansible, HELM, Heat, or Kubernetes. Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of NFVI deployments. Create and maintain documentation for deployed solutions, configurations, and procedures. Participate in customer delivery projects, lab testing, and software upgrades. Required Skills and Experience 4+ years of experience in Network Function Virtualization or related telecom cloud infrastructure roles. Strong knowledge of NFVI components and ETSI NFV architecture. Hands-on experience with Ericsson ECI , OpenStack , VMware , KVM , or Red Hat OpenShift . Proficiency with Linux system administration and troubleshooting (preferably RHEL/CentOS). Familiarity with SDN/NFV orchestration , preferably Ericsson Cloud Manager (ECM) or Ericsson Orchestrator (EO) . Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible , Terraform , Python scripting ). Knowledge of IP networking (VLANs, VXLAN, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Good understanding of 4G/5G Core and RAN VNFs/CNFs integration.
