New Product Development (NPD) Manager

The New Product Development (NPD) Manager will be responsible for developing new components in collaboration with external suppliers. The role involves working closely with international customers to understand technical requirements, coordinating with Marcus internal team, and ensuring the successful development of components across multiple manufacturing processes. The candidate must have a strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability), MFR (Manufacturing Feasibility Review), PPAP, and other key development practices

Key Responsibilities

• Interface with international customers to understand product specifications, functional requirements, and quality expectations.
• Clarify technical queries and communicate customer expectations clearly to internal and supplier teams.
• Work with approved external suppliers to develop components across various commodities such as machining, forging, plastics, sheet metal, and investment castings.
• Support suppliers in understanding drawings, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and critical features.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve manufacturability challenges.
• Conduct and review DFM and MFR with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all development steps adhere to defined quality standards and timelines.
• Coordinate sample development and validation as per the APQP/PPAP process.
• Review and support the preparation of technical documentation including process flow, control plan, and PPAP submissions.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and quality standards.

• Familiarity with multiple manufacturing processes like machining, casting, sheet metal, plastics, etc.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Good communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams and suppliers
• Exposure to automotive or industrial components is a plus
