Networking SME

As an Infoscion at Infosys, your primary responsibility is to ensure effective Design, Development, Validation, and Support activities to guarantee high levels of service in the technology domain, satisfying our clients. You will be tasked with resolving incidents and problems related to network technology, including Routing, Switching, Wireless, SDWAN, SD LAN, and DC Network. It is crucial to ensure prompt resolution within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and prioritize resolving P1 MIM issues on a fast track basis. Collaborating with networking OEMs for resolution and permanent fixes, along with managing capacity and change management practices are also part of your responsibilities. Your role involves utilizing basic troubleshooting skills in network environments, working closely with inter-domain teams to resolve tickets promptly, and managing escalations as a trusted advisor for customers. Additionally, you will run service operations in collaboration with IT process and service owners, prepare reports based on business requirements, and ensure efficient ticket closure within SLAs. In terms of technical requirements, you must possess a deep understanding of network protocols such as SDWAN, SDLAN, TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, WLC, WAP, VLANs, and Spanning Tree Protocol. Experience in working with Data Center architecture, including ACI, Spine-leaf, flat vs. hierarchical, SDWAN solutions like Viptela, Silver Peak, Versa, and Aryaka is essential. Proficiency in monitoring and ticketing tools like SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNAC, BMC, Jira, and ServiceNow is required, along with knowledge of network load balancers, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Cloud Proxy, and network performance metrics monitoring. Furthermore, as an Infoscion, you are expected to have a customer-focused approach, strong problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, business acumen, and the capability to deal with ambiguity. Building peer relationships, effective team building, communication skills, integrity, collaboration, and excellent interpersonal skills are also crucial for this role. Possessing industry-leading OEM vendor certifications at professional or expert levels and effective customer-facing skills are preferred qualifications.
