Network Security Engineer Zscaler

As a Network Security Engineer at Zinnia, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) across the enterprise. Your responsibilities will include configuring Zscaler policies, supporting Cisco Meraki infrastructure, and architecting AWS networking. You will be expected to lead network security initiatives, implement secure access strategies, and collaborate with various teams to enhance data protection standards. Your primary duties will involve designing and deploying Zscaler solutions, managing policies such as SSL inspection and URL filtering, and serving as the subject matter expert for Zscaler integrations. Additionally, you will configure Cisco Meraki networking hardware, architect AWS networking components, and develop network segmentation strategies using both cloud and on-premises tools. Automation of network management tasks and collaboration with security and infrastructure teams to enforce zero trust architecture will be key aspects of your role. To succeed in this position, you should have at least 5 years of experience in network engineering or security roles, with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Zscaler platforms. Proficiency in managing Cisco Meraki devices, understanding of AWS networking principles, and knowledge of network security concepts are essential. Scripting experience for automation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members will be beneficial. While certifications such as Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP-IA / ZCCP-PA), Cisco Meraki CMNA, AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty, or CISSP are preferred, they are not mandatory for this role.
