Role Overview: As a Network Security Specialist at dotSolved, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the network security infrastructure to ensure a secure and smooth operation of the enterprise network. Your role will involve working with Cisco networking equipment, implementing security and access control measures, setting up VPNs and remote access, threat management and monitoring, and implementing advanced security practices to safeguard the network from cyber threats. Key Responsibilities: - Cisco Networking: Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls (ASA/FTD), VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) to maintain a robust network infrastructure. - Security & Access Control: Implement ACLs, NAT/PAT, Zone-Based Firewall (ZBFW), Intrusion Prevention (IPS/IDS), and secure wireless solutions (WLC, 802.1x, WPA3) to control access and enhance network security. - VPN & Remote Access: Set up and configure Site-to-Site VPNs, Cisco AnyConnect, DMVPN, and IPSec to provide secure remote access to network resources. - Threat Management & Monitoring: Utilize tools like Cisco SecureX, Umbrella, Wireshark, Cisco Prime, and SIEM integration to identify and mitigate security threats in real-time. - Advanced Security Practices: Implement Zero Trust model, network segmentation, device hardening, and ensure compliance alignment with standards such as ISO 27001, SOC2, PCI-DSS. - Certifications: Obtain and maintain relevant certifications including CCNA, CCNP, Cisco CyberOps, and optionally CCIE Security/Enterprise to demonstrate expertise in network security. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience in network security operations and Cisco networking technologies. - Strong knowledge of network security protocols, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, and Cisco CyberOps are highly desirable.
