Network Security Administrator

IT Network and Security Administrator:-

7-15 years of experience, with relevant strong IT Network and Security certifications/exposure.

• Experience in BFSI/NBFC sector would be preferable.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Management & Design:

• Overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (Fortinet firewalls,routers, switches, etc.).

• Managing and optimizing the performance of the company& local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and virtual private networks (VPNs).

• Troubleshooting network issues and providing solutions to ensure minimal downtime.

• Monitoring network traffic and usage to detect potential issues or inefficiencies

• Analyse the current network infrastructure and propose/optimise the architecture in line with industry best practices and business requirements.

2. Security Administration:

• Proposing, implementing, and enforcing security policies and procedures.

• Implementing firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus solutions.

• Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify potential security risks/closing the relevant risks identified with proposed solutions.

• Managing access control and user authentication systems to ensure only authorized individuals can access sensitive systems and data.

3. Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

4. Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

• Investigating and resolving complex network security issues and providing root cause analysis.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), VPN, and remote access solutions.

• Strong experience with network security tools such as firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco), IDS/IPS, and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management).

• Familiarity with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, etc.).

• Knowledge of encryption methods, cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and threat analysis.

• Experience with cloud security (Azure).

• Understanding/experience of wireless technologies, VLANs, and network segmentation.

• CCNA/CCNP CISM/CISSP certifications preferred.
