Job Description

As a Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1) at NTT DATA, your role will involve providing managed services to ensure our clients" IT infrastructure and systems remain operational. You will proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems to support our clients effectively. Your responsibilities will include monitoring client infrastructure and solutions, investigating first-line incidents, and executing maintenance activities like patching and configuration changes. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth shift handovers for continuous service and maintaining high standards of service quality. Key Responsibilities: - Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems - Monitor client infrastructure and solutions to catch errors before or as soon as they occur - Investigate first-line incidents, understand their root causes, and follow approved procedures for request fulfillment - Provide telephonic, ITSM ticket, or chat support - Execute maintenance activities like patching and configuration changes - Identify opportunities for optimization and automation possibilities - Support project work and disaster recovery functions and tests - Escalate incidents and requests when necessary - Update existing knowledge and share valuable insights Qualifications Required: - Basic understanding in technologies such as Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Virtual Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco Nexus switches, ASr and ISr routers, Cisco ACS, ISE, Meraki switches, and common routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and EIGrP - Highly disciplined in handling tickets on a day-to-day basis - Good understanding of using ITSM tools and ITSM processes - Strong planning skills considering possible changes and circumstances - A strong work ethic and adaptability to changing environments - Client-focused approach with excellent communication skills - Ability to work across different cultures and social groups - Excellent active listening skills and positive outlook under pressure - Bachelor's degree in information technology/computing or equivalent experience Your career at NTT DATA is about seizing new opportunities, expanding your skills, and preparing for future advancements within our global team.
