Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Network Design & Implementation:

• Design, configure, and implement complex

  routing and switching solutions

  using various protocols and technologies.
• Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions with minimal disruption.
• Ensure network designs meet business requirements for performance, scalability, security, and high availability.

• Routing Protocols & Technologies:

• Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting

  routing protocols

  such as

  OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and Static Routing

  .
• Implement and manage

  VPN technologies

  (IPSec, SSL VPN) and route redistribution.
• Optimize routing paths for efficiency and redundancy.

• Switching Protocols & Technologies:

• Configure and manage

  Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching protocols

  including

  VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), EtherChannel, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP, and QoS

  .
• Implement and troubleshoot advanced switching features like

  Port Security, DAI, and Private VLANs

  .
• Ensure efficient and secure data flow within local area networks.

• Troubleshooting & Optimization:

• Perform advanced

  network troubleshooting

  to diagnose and resolve complex connectivity, performance, and routing/switching issues.
• Utilize network monitoring tools and packet analyzers to identify root causes and optimize network performance.
• Participate in incident response for network-related outages.

• Security & Documentation:

• Implement network security best practices, including

  ACLs, firewall policies

  , and network segmentation.
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a

  Network Engineer

  with a strong focus on

  routing and switching

  .
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with

  Cisco, Juniper

  , or other major network vendor equipment.
• Expertise in

  TCP/IP stack, subnetting

  , and network troubleshooting tools.
• Strong understanding of

  network security principles

  .
• Excellent

  analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  .
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE

  certifications (or equivalent from other vendors).
• Experience with

  SD-WAN

  technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (Azure Networking, AWS VPC).
• Knowledge of network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
