Job Description

As a Network Engineer (L2/L3) at our company in Mangalore, you will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting complex enterprise networks. Your deep technical expertise in routing, switching, and network security will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and WLAN network infrastructure. - Handle network incidents and escalations at L2/L3 level for timely resolution. - Perform root cause analysis for recurring network issues and implement corrective actions. - Configure and troubleshoot network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. - Collaborate with global network teams for infrastructure upgrades and migrations. - Monitor network performance, optimize bandwidth utilization, and ensure high availability. - Implement network security best practices including ACLs, IPS/IDS, and VPN policies. - Create and maintain detailed network documentation, diagrams, and change management records. - Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 network support. **Qualifications Required:** - Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, and VRFs. - Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Arista network equipment. - Experience in firewall management with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, or Checkpoint. - Proficiency in network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, NetFlow, Wireshark, and SNMP. - Familiarity with SD-WAN, VPN technologies, and network automation tools. - Good understanding of IPv4/IPv6 addressing, subnetting, and QoS. - Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. In addition to the above details, it is preferred if you hold certifications like CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent (CCIE is a plus).
