As a Senior Network Engineer Cyber Security Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and securing enterprise-level network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and protection of data and systems against cyber threats. You will collaborate with IT, security, and operations teams to maintain robust, scalable, and secure network environments. Key Responsibilities: - Network Design & Implementation - Architect and deploy LAN/WAN, VPN, and cloud-based network solutions. - Maintain network topology diagrams and documentation. - Cybersecurity Operations - Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures. - Monitor network traffic for anomalies and potential threats. - Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. - Firewall & Access Control - Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control systems. - Implement segmentation and zero-trust principles. - Incident Response & Recovery - Investigate and respond to security breaches and incidents. - Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity planning. - Performance Optimization - Analyze network performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks. - Recommend upgrades and improvements for scalability. - Compliance & Auditing - Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, NIST, GDPR). - Prepare audit reports and assist in regulatory reviews. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in network engineering and cybersecurity. - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and switching. - Proficiency in security tools: firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), SIEM, antivirus, and endpoint protection. - Certifications preferred: CCNP, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced IT or enterprise setting, engaging in cross-functional collaboration with DevOps, IT support, and compliance teams. You may also be required to be available on-call for critical incidents. Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position that requires in-person work.
