Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Lead the assessment, planning, and execution ofmigrating applications across data centers, ensuring minimal downtime and riskto business operations.

Conduct thorough discovery and analysis of InfraApp transformation tailored to business requirements.

Develop detailed technical blueprints coveringinfrastructure setup, security protocols, data flow, and system integration.

Build, test, and validate cloud solutions toensure reliability and performance before client deployment.

Collaborate with infrastructure, application,security, and network teams to define the migration strategy, sequencing, androllback plans.

Perform application discovery and develop adetailed application inventory, including dependencies, integrations,configurations, and SLA considerations.

Create and maintain runbooks, cutover plans, andchecklists for pre-migration validation, migration execution, andpost-migration support.

Collaborate and interact with multiplestakeholders to gather required and define the tech stack state

Coordinate testing activities including sanitytesting, UAT, performance validation, and DR testing across environments.

Identify and resolve technical or logisticalissues during migration execution, ensuring alignment with compliance andsecurity policies.

Act as the primary point of contact formigration-related communication with internal stakeholders and/or clients.

Ensure proper documentation and knowledgetransfer post-migration to operational and support teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Hands-on experience with data center inframigration, server consolidation, or platform rehosting projects along withshell scripting, batch scripting or PowerShell scripting.

Proficiency with tools such as CMDBs, discoverytools (e.g., ServiceNow, Device42), and migration orchestration platforms.

Familiarity with network architecture, firewallrules, load balancers, and DNS transition planning.

Solid understanding of virtualizationtechnologies (e.g., VMware, HCX etc), middleware, and enterprise storage.

Strong knowledge of application lifecyclemanagement, configuration management, and disaster recovery planning.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOpspractices for cloud deployments and IAC tools like Terraform

Strong problem-solving skills with the abilityto troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues.

Excellent communication skills for clientinteraction and technical documentation.

Continuous learner mindset to keep up withevolving cloud technologies and industry trends.

Preferred Skills

Experience in migrations involving Chef, Tanium,Red Hat Satellite, NetApp, Ansible, SolarWinds, Sunbird, 1Desk, KillDisk,Thousand Eyes, or similar infrastructure platforms.

Exposure to hybrid environments including cloudintegration (AWS, Azure, GCP) and co-location facilities.

ITIL certification or experience working withinan ITIL-aligned organization.

Strong project management skills and ability tolead cross-functional teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication,stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
