Location: Mumbai

Role Overview

The Network Administrator at L3 level is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing complex network infrastructures. This role requires advanced expertise in network technologies, troubleshooting, and leadership to ensure high availability, security, and performance of enterprise networks.

Key Responsibilities

Network Design and Implementation

  • Design and implement advanced network solutions, including routing, switching, and security configurations.
  • Configure and manage enterprise-grade network devices such as Cisco and Juniper routers and switches.
  • Implement and manage Quality of Service (QoS), MPLS, VRF, and VRF Lite for optimized network performance.

Routing and Switching

  • Configure and troubleshoot IP routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
  • Manage switching protocols like STP, RSTP, PVST, and port channeling.
  • Perform upgrades, configurations, and troubleshooting for Nexus switches.

Network Security and Monitoring

  • Configure and troubleshoot HSRP, NAT, GLBP, and IP SLA for network redundancy and security.
  • Utilize network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, Network Observer, Netflow Analyzer, and MRTG for proactive issue identification.

Performance Optimization

  • Monitor network performance and optimize configurations to meet business requirements.
  • Identify and resolve network-related performance issues in collaboration with other teams.

Disaster Recovery and High Availability

  • Implement disaster recovery solutions and ensure network redundancy.
  • Maintain high availability of network services through robust configurations and proactive monitoring.

Vendor Collaboration

  • Work with vendors to resolve complex network issues and implement fixes.
  • Coordinate with hardware and software vendors for upgrades and patches.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents.
  • Provide regular reports on network health, performance, and capacity planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco and Juniper network devices (e.g., Cisco ASR 1000 Series, Nexus switches, Juniper EX/QFX/PTX/MX Series).
  • Proficiency in routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and switching technologies (STP, RSTP, PVST).
  • Experience with network security configurations (HSRP, NAT, GLBP, IP SLA).

Certifications

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).
  • Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP).

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 3 support for complex network issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network operations.
  • Lead network-related projects and mentor junior team members.
