Network Administration

As a Mid-Level Network Administrator at GHX, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the network infrastructure in collaboration with the Lead Network Engineer. Your responsibilities will include: - Efficiently handling network support tickets, conducting initial troubleshooting, and promptly resolving network incidents. - Providing clear and concise technical guidance to internal teams on network infrastructure usage and best practices. - Executing routine network maintenance tasks such as system upgrades, security patching, and configuration updates to minimize disruptions. - Monitoring network performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing solutions to maintain optimal availability and reliability. - Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge transfer. - Assisting in the development and implementation of configuration and change management policies to ensure proper review, approval, documentation, and execution of network changes. - Collaborating with the security team to provide valuable network insights and enhance security policies and procedures. Qualifications required for this role include: - 3-5 years of relevant experience. - Strong understanding of IP protocols, static and dynamic routing principles, cloud networking concepts, and OSI model. - Proven experience in troubleshooting WAN/LAN/WLAN/VPN issues. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies. - Experience with routing, switching, firewall policies, and VPN configurations. Preferred qualifications: - Experience managing interconnected Meraki deployments through the Meraki dashboard and API. - Familiarity with AWS multi-account networking concepts. - Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation. - Experience with AWS tools and services.
