NATIVE FREELANCERS ONLY - Maithili Audio Collection & Transcription Project

We Are Recruiting For Two Roles:

Responsibilities

• Participate in 2-person spoken conversations in Maithili.
• Contribute up to 4 conversations per person.
• Each conversation lasts up to 15 minutes.
• Topics will be provided; natural dialogue is required.
• Must follow audio quality guidelines.
  

Requirements

• Native speaker of Maithili
• Located in one of the following districts: Darbhanga, Saharsa, Samastipur, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi
• Valid pincode must match the NLTM-Pincodes reference list
• Gender representation target: 65% male / 35% female
• Age distribution targets:
• 20–30 years (40%)
• 30–40 years (30%)
• 40–50 years (20%)
• 50–60 years (10%)
  

• 400 participants total
  

Responsibilities

• Transcribe recorded Maithili conversations.
• Follow segmentation guidelines and ensure high accuracy.
• Work with approx. 150 hours of raw audio (equivalent to 225 hours of transcription time).
  

Requirements

• Native-level Maithili comprehension
• Strong attention to detail
• Prior transcription experience preferred but not mandatory
