Location : AIA - Chennai

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize highly scalable MySQL databases on AWS cloud.
Expert-level performance tuning of queries, indexes, and stored procedures for mission-critical applications.
Handle large-scale datasets, ensuring efficient query execution and minimal latency.
Architect and implement summary tables for optimized reporting and analytical performance.
Work closely with software engineers to design efficient data models, indexing strategies, and partitioning techniques.
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance of database systems.
Perform root-cause analysis of database bottlenecks and implement robust solutions.
Implement advanced replication strategies, read/write separation, and data sharding for optimal performance.
Work with DevOps teams to automate database monitoring, backups, and performance metrics using AWS tools.
Optimize stored procedures, triggers, and complex database functions to enhance system efficiency.
Ensure best-in-class data security, encryption, and access control policies.

Must-Have Skills

Proven expertise in MySQL query optimization, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
Strong knowledge of AWS RDS, Aurora, and cloud-native database services.
Hands-on experience in tuning high-performance, high-volume transactional databases.
Deep understanding of database partitioning, sharding, caching, and replication strategies.
Experience working with large-scale datasets (millions to billions of records) and ensuring low-latency queries.
Advanced experience in database schema design, normalization, and optimization for high availability.
Proficiency in query profiling, memory management, and database load balancing.
Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and analytics-driven data models.
Expertise in troubleshooting slow queries and deadlocks in a production environment.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Shell, or SQL scripting for automation.

Preferred Skills

Experience with big data technologies like Redshift, Snowflake, Hadoop, or Spark.
Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) for hybrid data architectures.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps database management.
Experience in predictive analytics and AI-driven data optimizations.
