Music Teacher

As a Music Teacher at SRMPS, your role will involve planning and delivering music lessons, teaching students to read music, organizing school music performances, and mentoring students interested in developing their musical talents. Your responsibility will be to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures creativity and expression. Your key responsibilities will include: - Planning and delivering music lessons in vocal, instrumental, or both, as per the school's curriculum. - Teaching students to read music, understand theory, and enhance their performance skills. - Conducting music classes for various grade levels and organizing school music performances, events, and competitions. - Encouraging and guiding students keen on developing their musical talents. - Managing and maintaining musical instruments and equipment. - Collaborating with other staff for interdisciplinary programs and cultural events. - Preparing students for music examinations such as Trinity or ABRSM if applicable. - Keeping records of student progress and providing feedback to students and parents. Qualifications required for this role are: - Bachelor's or Masters degree in Music or a related field. - Formal training in vocal and/or instrumental music. - Certification in music education (preferred but not mandatory). - Previous experience teaching music in a school or educational setting. - Proficiency in one or more musical instruments like keyboard, guitar, tabla, etc. - Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills. - Enthusiasm for working with children and nurturing young talent.,
