Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and creative Music Teacher to join our team and inspire students through the power of music. The ideal candidate will be proficient in teaching music theory, vocal and/or instrumental performance, and music appreciation across various age groups and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
Teach students how to read music, understand musical theory, and perform vocally or with instruments.
Prepare students for performances, recitals, examinations, and competitions.
Foster an appreciation for a wide range of musical genres and cultures.
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Assess and report on students' progress regularly.
Organize and lead school concerts, assemblies, and extracurricular musical activities.
Collaborate with other staff to integrate music with other subjects and school events.
Maintain and care for musical instruments and classroom equipment.
Stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods, music technology, and trends in music education.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
Teaching certification/licensure.
Proven experience as a music teacher or music educator.
Proficiency in at least one musical instrument and/or vocal training.
Strong knowledge of music theory and pedagogy.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
