Music Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and creative Music Teacher to join our team and inspire students through the power of music. The ideal candidate will be proficient in teaching music theory, vocal and/or instrumental performance, and music appreciation across various age groups and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
• Teach students how to read music, understand musical theory, and perform vocally or with instruments.
• Prepare students for performances, recitals, examinations, and competitions.
• Foster an appreciation for a wide range of musical genres and cultures.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assess and report on students' progress regularly.
• Organize and lead school concerts, assemblies, and extracurricular musical activities.
• Collaborate with other staff to integrate music with other subjects and school events.
• Maintain and care for musical instruments and classroom equipment.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods, music technology, and trends in music education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification/licensure.
• Proven experience as a music teacher or music educator.
• Proficiency in at least one musical instrument and/or vocal training.
• Strong knowledge of music theory and pedagogy.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
