Monitoring Platform Integrator

You will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Help design, build, deploy and configure the new monitoring infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency. - Collaborate with tech-leads during system migrations to ensure proper monitoring and assist in creating alerting rules and escalation paths. - Monitor the monitoring system itself and establish redundant escalation paths to detect failures. - Develop and maintain necessary code-base for problem-solving and customer-specific configurations. - Automate platform configuration using technologies like service discovery, ansible, and git to minimize manual configurations. - Assist tech-leads and system owners in building Grafana and other dashboarding tools. - Gather monitoring and alerting requirements from NOC teams and system owners to ensure critical functions are maintained during system transitions. - Transition custom monitoring scripts from Nagios to Prometheus or icinga2 platforms. - Integrate existing monitoring systems into the new design and facilitate the transition away from obsolete systems. Qualification required: - Basic degree or diploma in IT. - Certifications in Microsoft, Enterprise Linux, Cloud Foundations, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or similar, along with DevOps training and qualifications. Experience needed: - Over 5 years of experience in a systems admin role within the media industry. - Proficiency in Docker and/or Kubernetes Platforms management. - Expertise in Redhat/Oracle Linux/CentOS System Administration. - Familiarity with AWS Cloud toolsets and various monitoring and logging technologies. - Skilled in orchestration management using tools like Ansible, Cloud Formation, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef. - Proficient in Python development, JSON, API integration, and NetBox. - Knowledge of GO and Alerta.io can be advantageous.,
