Molding Technician II

Role Overview: You will be responsible for performing routine to semi-routine experiments for process or R & D engineering under general supervision. Your key tasks will include recording and reporting results, reviewing rejected production runs, performing basic equipment set up, and auditing the work of line operators for accuracy. You will also assist in monitoring the assembly/molding process by troubleshooting problem processes and identifying quality issues. Key Responsibilities: - Tend automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation - Follow production/process specifications or instructions provided by higher-level technical personnel - Responsible for mold set-ups and line clearance - Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls to ensure adherence to production/process specifications - Perform tests to verify production/process conditions and report any malfunctions or abnormalities - Make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment as needed - Maintain operating records, report test results, collect and document data, and generate reports - Isolate problems for further analysis and evaluation - Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures - Advise operators and inform engineers regarding processes, procedures, and equipment - Learn to apply and support lean manufacturing principles - Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Required: - Ability to read and write in English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedures manuals, and blueprints - Ability to perform basic math and interpret executive work instructions,
