Job Description

You will be joining the Model Risk Management and Validation Group (MRM&V) where you will perform independent analytical reviews and validations of all models. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing independent review and model validation of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) models. - Conducting model architecture review, theoretical soundness assessments, and performance evaluations. - Writing validation reports containing/explaining the analyses performed and their results. - Presenting the reports and findings to various review/approval committees and other modeling teams. - Developing creative approaches to effectively communicate complicated concepts, model validation results, and analyses to stakeholders. - Participating in peer brainstorm review sessions and assisting other MRM&V members in problem-solving. - Working closely with cross-functional teams, including senior model validators, model developers, risk officers, and business units, to ensure models are effectively integrated into business decision-making processes. - Representing the Model Risk management team in interactions with regulatory agencies. **Qualifications:** - 2 or more years of experience in model development or validation. - Familiarity with essential quantities techniques used in financial models. - Quantitative programming skills (e.g., SAS/SQL, Python, R, etc.). - Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms in model development or validation is a plus. - Very good communication skills (both verbal and written), solid project management skills, and ability to multitask. - Good business knowledge and familiarity with consumer/small business/commercial banking products, operations, and credit processes. - Experience in profitability models will be a plus. - Prior experience in delivering both written and verbal communications to a senior management audience and developing constructive relationships with a wide range of different stakeholders.
