We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Android Tester to join our quality assurance team. You will play a key role in ensuring that our Android app performs flawlessly for our users, and you’ll work with a team of developers, designers and product managers to identify and resolve any issues before they reach the users.

Role Overview:

As an Mobile Application Tester (iOS/Android), you will be responsible for testing our Android/iOS mobile application, identifying bugs and ensuring that our app delivers a seamless, high-quality experience for users. You will conduct manual and automated testing, report bugs and work closely with the development team to ensure continuous improvement of the app’s performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual & Automated Testing:
• Conduct manual and automated tests to ensure the ipshopy.com Android app is functional, user-friendly, and bug-free.
• Test for both functional and non-functional aspects, including performance, usability, and security.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts for repetitive testing tasks.
• Bug Reporting & Documentation:
• Identify, record, and report bugs and issues through the bug tracking system.
• Work closely with the development team to reproduce issues and provide detailed feedback.
• Create detailed test cases, test plans and test reports for ongoing testing activities.
• Regression & Performance Testing:
• Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or fixes don’t break existing functionality.
• Conduct performance testing to ensure that the app works smoothly under various load conditions.
• Test app behavior on multiple Android devices with varying screen sizes and OS versions.
• Collaboration with Development Team:
• Work closely with the development team to understand app features and functionality to create effective test cases.
• Collaborate with developers to identify the root cause of issues and suggest improvements.
• Test Coverage & Improvement:
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage of all app features and workflows.
• Continuously improve the test suite to cover new features and handle edge cases.
• Usability & UI Testing:
• Test for usability issues to ensure the app is user-friendly and meets UX/UI standards.
• Identify and report UI/UX inconsistencies or potential improvements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Android Tester or in Quality Assurance for mobile apps, with a focus on Android platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Android development environments, such as Android Studio, and an understanding of the Android app lifecycle.
• Experience with manual testing and familiarity with automated testing tools such as Appium, Selenium or JUnit.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of common mobile testing techniques, such as functional, regression, UI, usability, performance, and security testing.
• Solid understanding of Android OS, APIs, and third-party libraries and frameworks used in Android app development.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with performance testing and tools like LoadRunner, JMeter or others.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
• Experience with Firebase or other crash reporting tools.
• Understanding of mobile security testing and best practices.
• Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
