MIS Executive Cum Cashier

A Retail Store MIS (Management Information System) Executive plays a crucial role in managing, analyzing, and reporting data to support store operations and decision-making. Here’s a breakdown of the typical job role and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Data Management & Reporting
• Collect, maintain, and update store sales, inventory, and customer data.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management.
• Track KPIs such as sales performance, stock levels, footfall, and customer trends.
• Analysis & Insights
• Analyze sales patterns, customer buying behavior, and inventory turnover.
• Provide actionable insights to improve store operations and profitability.
• Identify variances between actual and planned performance.
• System & Process Support
• Maintain accuracy of data in ERP/MIS systems.
• Support store managers and regional teams with data-related queries.
• Ensure compliance with company reporting standards and timelines.
• Inventory & Stock Monitoring
• Track stock movement, shortages, and wastages.
• Generate alerts for slow-moving or fast-moving items.
• Support demand forecasting with data inputs.
• Coordination & Communication
• Liaise with finance, operations, and supply chain teams for data exchange.
• Assist in preparing dashboards and presentations for senior management.
• Train store staff on MIS-related processes when required.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts) and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with ERP/retail management systems (SAP, Tally, Oracle, etc.).
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Basic understanding of retail operations (sales, stock, billing, etc.).

Typical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, or IT.
• 1–3 years of experience in MIS or data analysis (retail sector preferred).
