Milling operator

We are looking for an experienced Milling Machine Operator with 3–6 years of hands-on exposure in machining operations. The candidate should be capable of independently operating milling machines, maintaining accuracy, ensuring production targets, and following safety & quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate conventional milling machines with precision and efficiency.
• Understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and machining tolerances.
• Perform independent machine setup (job setting, tool fixing, alignment).
• Select and use appropriate cutting tools & speeds/feeds.
• Inspect finished components using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.
• Maintain the machine condition and follow daily housekeeping standards.
• Monitor machining processes to ensure quality output with minimum rejection.
• Complete daily production reports and update job progress to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with quality, production, and tooling teams when required.
• Follow strict safety protocols and maintain discipline on the shop floor.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3 to 6 years of experience as a Milling Operator in a precision machining/engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of machining parameters, job holding methods, and cutting tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/technical drawings.
• Good understanding of measuring instruments and quality checks.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently.
• Should be flexible to work in rotational shifts.

Working Hours

• 9 Hours per day.

Qualification

• ITI / Diploma / Any technical background (preferred).
• Candidates with strong practical experience will be considered regardless of qualification.

Additional Preferences

• Candidates residing in Ambattur / Thirumullaivoyal / nearby areas preferred.
• Immediate joiners will be given priority.
