The role involves promoting the destination’s MICE offerings, building relationships with corporate and travel trade partners, and driving measurable business results through strategic engagement. Key Responsibilities 1. Market Development & Client Engagement Promote Meeting and Incentive group travel to a premier Asian destination in North and East India. Develop and maintain relationships with senior corporate decision-makers (70% of the work) and MICE travel agents (30% work). Build and nurture a database of key corporate and trade contacts, targeting a minimum of 25 new leads per month (15 corporate minimum). Conduct one-on-one client meetings, Be able to prepare and give destination presentations to corporate, MICE agencies and other larger seminars. Provide destination insights, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations to enhance visibility and business from India. 2. Account & Client Servicing Manage day-to-day client servicing- including supporting agencies with group operations, and ensuring seamless coordination with destination counterparts. Support trade partners and corporates with destination knowledge, itinerary planning, and incentive ideas. Provide market feedback and insights on emerging trends, competition, and macroeconomic factors. 3. Marketing Coordination Support and coordinate MICE marketing and co-op campaigns from concept to execution. Evaluate proposals for quality, ROI, and alignment with brand objectives. Monitor campaign KPIs, track deliverables, and manage post-campaign documentation and invoicing. Prepare and present market feedback in regular review calls and reports. 4. Trade Education & Development Conduct periodic trade training sessions and product update presentations. Collaborate with key travel trade partners to develop and refresh MICE-focused itineraries and experiences. Integrate the destination’s key experiences into corporate and MICE cruise offerings. 5. Reporting & Analytics Submit weekly sales and activity reports. Compile and present monthly and half-yearly MICE performance reports with qualitative and quantitative insights. Contribute to internal databases, research initiatives, and market analyses. Required Skills & Attributes Professional Competencies Strong understanding of the Indian MICE and travel trade landscape. Proven experience in corporate or incentive group sales, ideally with a hotel chain, tourism board, or DMC. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva. Strong time management and multitasking abilities. Analytical skills to assess market trends and performance data.
