Job Description

As a Middleware Services Lead, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing middleware platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. Your role will involve ensuring high availability, performance, and security while driving automation, modernization, and integration with DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and manage middleware platforms such as WebLogic, IIS, Tomcat, Apache, as well as WAF & Load Balancers (F5, NetScaler). - Track middleware health using tools like AppDynamics or Splunk, monitoring JVM status, queue depth, and thread usage to detect anomalies in real-time. - Respond to system alerts, restart failed services, and escalate unresolved issues. - Perform basic troubleshooting tasks like checking logs, resolving job failures, and executing SOP-based actions (e.g., IDoc reprocessing). - Handle access & ticket management tasks including password resets, antivirus status checks, and logging tickets with accurate categorization. - Confirm the successful completion of scheduled jobs and backups, and manage system administration tasks like installing, configuring, and maintaining middleware platforms. - Optimize performance by tuning thread pools, heap sizes, and connection pools for runtime efficiency. - Manage security & compliance aspects by handling SSL/TLS certificates, firewall rules, and ensuring organizational security standards compliance. - Utilize automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins for provisioning, patching, and CI/CD integration. - Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery setups, and lead transformation & planning initiatives by defining SOPs, escalation matrices, and overseeing observability, compliance, and platform upgrades. Qualifications Required: - Strong knowledge of middleware platforms (WebLogic, IIS, Tomcat, Apache) and familiarity with load balancers (F5, NetScaler) and WAF. - Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics and Splunk, proficiency in automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. - Understanding of SSL/TLS, firewall configurations, and security best practices. - Preferred certifications in middleware platforms (Oracle WebLogic, IIS, Apache), DevOps (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins), and security (CISSP, CISM).
