Role Overview: Join Amgen's mission of serving patients by becoming a Manager of Software Development Engineering. As a member of the Amgen team, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day management of technology platforms, ensuring they meet performance, security, and availability requirements. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs, with a specific focus on Global CRM capabilities utilizing integrated technologies like Salesforce.com. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the day-to-day management of technology platforms to ensure performance, security, and availability - Align platforms with security standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies - Define, monitor, and manage service level agreements (SLAs) to meet performance and availability requirements - Resolve service-related incidents and problems with minimal impact on business operations - Create and maintain reports and dashboards for insights into issues and resolutions - Analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement - Take ownership of software/features deployed to production - Manage software delivery scope, risk, and timeline - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members - Resolve technical challenges and software bugs effectively - Integrate with other systems and platforms for seamless data flow and functionality - Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications - Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices - Maintain high standards of code quality, code reviews, and test coverage Qualifications Required: Basic Qualifications: - Doctorate degree / Master's degree / Bachelor's degree with 8 to 13 years of experience - Proficiency in programming languages such as Visual Force, Apex, SQL, Java - Strong expertise in software design principles and system integration - Experience with Devops Tool set (Jira, Git, Jenkins, Copado) - Proven experience as a Software Engineer leading design and development of software solutions Preferred Qualifications: Functional Skills: - Certifications related to Veeva CRM, Salesforce, Copado - Experience with Agile software development methodologies - Strong experience in IT service management principles - Experience with support and operational processes Good-to-Have Skills: - Experience with test automation - Analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations - Knowledge of the latest technology trends Soft Skills: - Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams - Initiative, self-motivation, and ability to manage multiple priorities successfully Apply now to join the Amgen team and make a lasting impact on the lives of patients while advancing your career.
