Job Description

As a Data Compliance Analyst at Amgen, you will play a crucial role in maintaining data standards, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) defined by data owners. Your responsibilities will include auditing security access controls on sensitive data to ensure adherence to data policies and standards by Product Teams. Here is a breakdown of your key roles and responsibilities: - Partner with the Data Management Platforms team to establish and maintain data standards, policies, and SOPs, enabling technology to manage data access controls effectively. - Operate data access controls in collaboration with functional data owners and technology teams to enforce compliance with privacy and security regulations. - Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and regulatory policies, maintaining and updating policies as necessary. - Measure effectiveness and drive adoption of Data Access policies and standards by publishing metrics to mitigate identified risks across the data lifecycle. For this role, you must have the following skills: - Technical proficiency in Pharma processes and data privacy. - Knowledge of data management, data models, metadata management, data quality, and data stewardship. - Experience in data products development lifecycle, data dictionaries, and business glossary. - Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Familiarity with systems supporting data governance frameworks such as Collibra and Alation. Additionally, the following skills would be beneficial: - Experience with Agile software development methodologies. - Proficiency in data analysis and quality tools like SQL, Excel, Python, or SAS. Your soft skills are equally important and should include: - Organization and ability to work independently. - Analytical and assessment skills. - Effective collaboration with global, virtual teams. - Prioritization of multiple tasks and goals achievement. - Building strong business relationships and understanding end-to-end data requirements. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people management skills. Basic qualifications for this role include: - A Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in Life Science, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, or Information Systems OR - A Diploma with 7 to 9 years of experience in the mentioned fields.
