Job Description

As a Manager - Finance Operations at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in the Finance Function by preparing various capital workings on a monthly and quarterly basis. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the accuracy of disclosures and submissions for AR&A/Pillar 3 disclosures, PRA101, and COREP. You will have the capability to address ad hoc data requests from senior management and Regulators proactively. Collaboration with the wider team and the rest of Global Finance will be essential for seamless service delivery of global reports to stakeholders at agreed service levels. Additionally, you will stay updated with regulatory consultations and assist in interpreting and implementing current and upcoming PRA regulatory requirements. Your role will involve identifying opportunities for process improvement, participating in change initiatives, and supporting stakeholders in driving the IRR project with various delivery milestones. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare capital workings monthly and quarterly, ensuring accuracy of disclosures and submissions - Address ad hoc data requests from senior management and Regulators proactively - Collaborate effectively with the wider team and Global Finance - Keep up to date with regulatory consultations and assist in interpreting & implementing PRA regulatory requirements - Ensure seamless service delivery of global reports to stakeholders - Meet KPI timelines under stringent time lines and high-pressure situations with a high degree of accuracy - Communicate effectively with global stakeholders daily - Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in change initiatives - Proactively highlight issues for timely resolution - Participate in various learning initiatives to upgrade skill set constantly - Support stakeholders in driving the IRR project with various delivery milestones Qualifications: - Qualified professional (preferably CA or ICWA or MBA or CFA) with 6 to 8 years of post-qualification experience - Prior experience in Regulatory Reporting function is advantageous - Knowledge and experience in Basel III/CRDIV/CRR2 and PRA regulatory rules preferred - Sound knowledge of Financial/Banking Services industry, products, and systems - Flexibility, tenacity, and enthusiasm for long-running or complex process re-design initiatives - Self-motivated team player with very strong MS Office skills (ability to use macros, arrays, and other advanced Excel formulas) - Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral - Ability to work under pressure, report under tight deadlines, and effectively deal with arising issues Join HSBC and make a real impact in the banking and financial services industry.
