Job Description

Analyst responsible for the full project lifecycle, including solution development, project execution, integration with shop floor equipment, and automated data collection for MES systems in PV projects. The analyst will lead development platforms to ensure relevance with current technology (Industry 4.0). As part of a team, the analyst will develop, support, and maintain MES systems, perform troubleshooting and bug fixes on software issues, provide updates to users, and advise where applicable during project phases.

For Operations & Maintenance (O&M), the analyst will be responsible for L1/L2 support to applications in Manufacturing Operations, development and modification of business applications as required, COTS application configuration and implementation according to business requirements, and ensuring business continuity by maintaining the availability of applications in Manufacturing Operations. Coordination with application vendors for troubleshooting and continuous improvement, responsibility for security of system and organizational data, and management of compliance to IRM guidelines are also required.

The role requires proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment, with strong technical knowledge in application design, development, debugging, and troubleshooting. Good communication skills and understanding of end user requirements are essential.

Skills & Experience

B.E / B.Tech in CE/IT
Desired: .Net, Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL Server, SSRS, Web services, OOPs
Application implementation, management, and maintenance skills
Experience in manufacturing (preferably Renewable Energy domain such as Solar energy) with MES applications is an advantage
Implementation of MES projects, system architecture, preparation & validation of Functional Design Documents, engineering validation
Implement and deploy MES applications on field execution planning, rollout, diagnosing issues, and troubleshooting during initial commissioning phase
Conduct user acceptance tests

Responsibilities

Operation decision support applications / MES tools in discrete manufacturing
Real-time data historian (IP21, PI, etc.), Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Support and optimize real-time manufacturing processes
SCADA / DCS / MES integration
Develop and maintain data interfaces between MES and OT layer, and between L4 and MES applications
Implement analytic dashboards for decision support during plant/process emergency management
Configure applications as per procedures
Monitor and maintain application health and troubleshoot as per procedures
Create alerts for early event detection to help reduce process upsets and maximize operational benefits from MES systems
Technical documentation: user manuals, SOPs, etc.
