Experience

Mandatory skills-

Role and Responsibilities:

Contribute to the design, definition, and implementation the application and features
• Help to direct and mentor a growing and distributed team of developers at all levels of experience (from junior to senior/principal)
Be a proactive and hands-on technical troubleshooter to identify issues early and prevent them
from occurring • Offer tactical technical solutions and address issues promptly when they do arise • Observe and promote software development best practices such as proper testing and code review, reuse, and refactoring • Optimize the applications for stability, security, speed, and scalability • Interface with product teams and other stakeholders on behalf of development as needed

Desired Skillset:

Flexible and adaptable with a positive can-do"; attitude
• Excellent communication skills with an ability work effectively in-office and remote • Able to build modular, loosely-coupled, reusable, and maintainable software components • Strong knowledge of NodeJS-based application development, ideally w/ ExpressJS • Experience with MongoDB, including data design and performance optimization • Broad hands-on experience with AWS-based infrastructure and deployment processes • Working knowledge of Redis, Docker-based containerization, Terraform, Jenkins • Solid experience in modern Javascript, HTML and CSS (ReactJS/Redux experience a plus)
