Role Overview
Were looking for a
MERN Stack Engineer (SDE-2)
whos passionate about building impactful products and believes in working smarter94with
AI copilots, automation, and lean dev cycles
. Youll be part of a high-ownership team responsible for delivering full-stack features, writing testable code, and deploying to production with CI/CD. Candidates should be comfortable using AI copilots (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Tabnine, Codeium) to accelerate tasks such as generating code snippets, drafting tests and documentation, and prototyping solutionswhile critically reviewing outputs for correctness, security, and licensing. Familiarity with basic prompt-engineering and integrating these tools into a disciplined development workflow is expected.
Key Responsibilities

- ??Build and maintain robust full-stack applications using MongoDB, Nest.js, React.js, and Node.js.
??
- ??Actively leverage AI tools (examples: GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Tabnine, Codeium) for faster development, documentation, and writing test cases. Expected familiarity: routinely use these assistants to draft code, generate tests and docs, and to iterate on prompts, while validating and adapting generated outputs before merging to main branches.

- ??Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality.
??
- ??Own features end-to-end94from design to deployment using modern CI/CD workflows (examples: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI; deployments via Vercel, Netlify, AWS). Expected familiarity: author and maintain CI/CD pipelines, configure environment variables/secrets, implement staging and production deployments, and perform basic rollback and troubleshooting steps.

- ??Collaborate with product, data, and hardware teams in a lean setup to ship fast and iterate often.

- ??Ensure performance, responsiveness, and scalability of front-end and backend systems.
Qualifications & Skills
??
- ??Experience: 296 5 years of professional experience building products using the MERN stack.
??
- ??Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
??
- ??Employment type: Full-time (permanent). We offer hybrid/remote-friendly arrangements; candidates should be able to attend occasional on-site work in Pune and maintain overlap with core IST working hours for collaboration.
??
- ??Strong understanding of frontend architecture (React Hooks, Context API/Redux).
??
- ??Proficiency in Node.js, Express, and MongoDB schema design.
??
- ??Familiarity with CI/CD tools (examples: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI), Git workflows (branching, PRs, code reviews), and cloud deployments (Vercel, Netlify, AWS). Expected familiarity: able to author simple pipelines, configure secrets/environment variables, set up staging and production deployments, and troubleshoot common deployment failures.

- ??Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress, etc.).

- ??Demonstrated use of AI-based coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Tabnine) in real-world development workflowscomfortable crafting prompts, using generated code as a starting point for implementations or tests, and validating outputs for correctness, security, and licensing considerations.
