Engineer MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting)

Job Purpose:

To assist in the planning, execution, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems within an MRO facility. The Engineer will support the efficient functioning of all MEPF infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation in compliance with aviation standards and facility regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design review, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of MEPF systems including HVAC, lighting, power distribution, water supply, drainage, fire detection, and suppression systems.
  • Support daily operations and preventive/corrective maintenance tasks for all MEPF systems within the hangars, workshops, offices, and auxiliary buildings.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for execution and supervision of MEPF works.
  • Monitor and log system performance and conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Assist in energy audits, load calculations, and capacity planning.
  • Prepare and update technical documentation, drawings, and maintenance reports.
  • Ensure MEPF systems align with regulatory codes such as NFPA, NBC, ASHRAE, and relevant aviation safety guidelines.
  • Provide on-ground support during emergencies, breakdowns, or planned maintenance shutdowns.
  • Participate in technical training and skill development programs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must have completed at least 1 project from start to finish.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or related field.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in MEPF engineering; experience in aviation or industrial settings preferred.
  • Internship or academic project experience in MEPF or aviation infrastructure is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Office, and project tracking tools.
  • Understanding of industry codes (e.g., IS, IEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).

Soft Skills:

  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

  • Work involves a combination of office and field activities in hangars, aprons, and technical facilities.
  • May involve shift work, especially during maintenance schedules or emergency situations.
  • Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required during fieldwork.
