MEP Engineer

As an MEP Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various construction projects. Your main responsibilities will involve collaborating with architects, project managers, and other engineers to ensure that the systems are energy-efficient, safe, and compliant with local codes and regulations. This role demands strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-quality building services. You will be responsible for developing detailed designs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems based on project requirements. This includes conducting load calculations, energy simulations, and system sizing for MEP systems. Additionally, you will be preparing technical drawings, specifications, and layouts using CAD or other design software. In terms of project coordination, you will collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to seamlessly integrate MEP systems into the building design. Your role will also involve managing and overseeing the installation of MEP systems to ensure adherence to the design, budget, and timeline. You will review and approve shop drawings and material submissions from contractors. Ensuring compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations will be a key aspect of your job. This will involve conducting regular site inspections and audits to guarantee adherence to safety protocols and design specifications. You will also oversee the testing, commissioning, and handover of all MEP systems. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the installation and commissioning phases will be part of your responsibilities. Maintaining detailed records of designs, calculations, and project progress will be necessary. You will provide technical reports, assessments, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
