Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled MEP Design Engineer specializing in Mechanical, Fire, and HVAC systems for real estate development projects. The candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and coordinating MEP systems to ensure efficient, sustainable, and code-compliant building solutions. Key Responsibilities: MEP Design & Planning: Develop detailed HVAC, fire protection, and mechanical system designs for residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects. Perform load calculations, duct layouts, pipe sizing, equipment selection, and energy efficiency assessments. Ensure compliance with local building codes, NFPA, ASHRAE, and other relevant standards. Fire Protection Systems: Design fire suppression systems, smoke evacuation, sprinklers, hydrants, and fire alarm systems. Coordinate fire safety strategies with architectural and structural teams. HVAC Systems: Design heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems for optimal thermal comfort and energy efficiency. Specify chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, and ducting layouts. Coordination & Project Management: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and contractors for seamless integration of MEP services. Participate in project reviews, site inspections, and technical evaluations. Address RFIs (Requests for Information) and resolve MEP-related issues during construction. Sustainability & Innovation: Implement energy-efficient and green building solutions in compliance with LEED, IGBC, or other sustainability standards. Conduct MEP feasibility studies for new developments.
