Job Description

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems for various projects in the UK, US, and Gulf regions. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in electrical design and proficiency in relevant software applications. You will utilize your technical knowledge and engineering skills within a BIM environment to execute projects efficiently. Leading a team in producing BIM models and drawings, you will coordinate effectively with discipline leads in multiple engineering fields. Ensuring that model delivery meets project and company standards, you will fulfill clients" Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) and oversee clash detection and resolution activities for seamless design integration. Collaboration with lead engineers and other discipline heads will be essential for efficient project coordination. You will support the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans and project delivery strategies, assisting clients in managing multi-discipline BIM environments for large or complex projects. Regular communication with clients, providing updates and project status reports, will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will facilitate clash detection and resolution by creating federated models from various discipline models. Oversight on workflows, addressing client issues proactively, supporting engineers in maintaining drawing standards, and mentoring team members will be crucial. Ensuring that the latest model versions are updated and correctly stored in the project management system, you will develop skills in managing large and complex BIM projects. Performing QA/QC checks on technical drawings before submission to the BIM Manager for final review, overseeing drawing production to ensure compliance with company and project standards, and verifying quality requirements align with company systems are also part of your role. Providing advanced BIM training on software and processes to the team as necessary will contribute to the team's development. The necessary requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience working on projects in the UK, US, Gulf, and Israel. Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, the ability to read and understand schematics, technical submittals, drawings, and project specifications are essential. Experience in setting up and producing Revit models effectively, planning skills for deliverable management, and creating service designs supporting coordinated models are also necessary. Furthermore, you should contribute to the development of technical standards, templates, workflows, and procedures to enhance deliverable quality, as well as facilitate the development and implementation of BIM Standards and ISO 19650 compliance.
