Menswear Designer

As a Menswear Couture Designer at our company, you will be responsible for leading design innovations and bringing on-brand visions to life through your creative and technical skills. You will work closely with artisans, pattern makers, and production teams to deliver couture menswear pieces that meet the highest standards of luxury. Key Responsibilities: - Conceive, sketch, and develop seasonal couture menswear designs such as bandhgalas, sherwanis, tuxedos, formal ensembles, and bespoke pieces. - Create mood boards, seasonal themes, and conduct trend research, color studies, as well as fabric & trim sourcing. - Produce detailed technical specs and tech-packs, overseeing pattern development, toiles, draping, and fittings. - Ensure robust garment construction, finish, and detailing including embroidery, embellishments, and handwork with precision. - Coordinate with artisan and hand-craft teams to translate design intent into beautifully finished couture garments. - Work closely with production to ensure quality, fit, timelines, and cost parameters are met. - Maintain consistency with brand identity and style across all designs. - Present designs internally to the creative and leadership team, and adapt based on feedback while retaining vision. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelors degree or higher in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related discipline. - 3-8 years (or more) of experience in menswear design, ideally in couture or bespoke tailoring. - Strong portfolio showcasing couture or high-end menswear work, with emphasis on garment construction, finishing, and detailing. - Proficiency in sketching by hand, digital illustration (Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop), and creating tech-packs. - Deep knowledge of fabrics, linings, trims, drapes, and traditional handwork / embroidery techniques. - Fit & proportion skills, pattern-making / draping, or ability to direct those who do. - Ability to manage multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, maintain high quality, and adapt.
