Qualification

Role : Melting Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate all melting operations, including furnace charging, tapping, alloying, and slag removal.
Monitor furnace performance and metallurgical quality to ensure production meets required specifications.
Lead and manage the shift, including operators, helpers, and furnace tenders.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including use of PPE, molten metal handling, and emergency procedures.
Schedule and coordinate furnace maintenance and refractory lining in collaboration with the maintenance team.
Maintain accurate production records such as melt reports, temperature logs, and alloy additions.
Train new employees on melting procedures, safety practices, and equipment usage.
Work closely with the Quality Control team to investigate and resolve any issues related to metal quality.
Optimize raw material usage and manage scrap efficiently to reduce waste and control costs.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and operational safety.
