Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant Technician to join our team at Quinte Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pre and post lab operations, with excellent technical skills and attention to detail.

Roles and Responsibility

Assist the laboratory technician in setting up and operating medical equipment.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of test results and patient information.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in the laboratory.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Diploma or degree in a relevant field such as medical technology or laboratory science.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
Possess strong knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
Familiarity with quality control measures and quality assurance standards.
