Job Description

Job Title:

Experience:

Medical Gastroenterologist

Roles & Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including
Upper GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, and EUS
.
Manage gastrointestinal diseases such as acid-peptic disorders, GI bleeding, IBD, and GI infections.
Provide comprehensive care for liver diseases including cirrhosis, hepatitis, and fatty liver.
Handle emergency gastroenterology cases such as GI bleed, acute pancreatitis, and obstructive jaundice.
Collaborate with oncologists for evaluation and management of GI cancers.
Counsel patients and families on treatment options, diet, and lifestyle modifications.
Mentor junior doctors and medical staff in gastroenterology best practices.
Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, medical ethics, and national standards.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Expertise in advanced endoscopic and therapeutic gastroenterology.
Strong clinical knowledge in hepatology and pancreaticobiliary diseases.
Critical decision-making in emergency cases.
Excellent patient communication and counseling skills.
Team leadership and collaboration across specialties.

Qualifications:

MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine.
DM/DNB in Medical Gastroenterology (Mandatory).
Minimum 10 years of post-specialization experience in gastroenterology practice.
