Job Description

Role & responsibilities : Accurately assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes for general surgery procedures. Review operative reports and clinical documentation to ensure complete and accurate coding. Work closely with surgeons, billing staff, and auditors to clarify coding issues. Maintain compliance with federal regulations, payer guidelines, and organizational standards. Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks as per company standards. Preferred candidate profile : Certification: CPC, CCS, or equivalent (AAPC or AHIMA certified). Minimum 3+ years of coding experience with a focus on General Surgery. Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and surgical procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems and coding software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
