Medical Biller

As a Medical Biller at our company, your role involves collecting past due medical bills from patients, maintaining patient files, and answering patient calls to direct them to the correct department. You will be responsible for ensuring that all billing procedures are followed diligently and that all established procedures are adhered to in order to maintain an efficient and accurate billing process. Additionally, you may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Accounting or Executive Director of Operations. Key Responsibilities: - Collect past due medical bills from patients - Maintain patient files - Answer patient calls and direct them to the correct department - Ensure all billing procedures are followed and adhere to established protocols - Perform other duties as assigned by superiors Qualifications Required: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan ahead and prioritize tasks effectively - Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team - Strong understanding of medical billing procedures and practices, including CPT/ICD/VHEI coding, insurance verification, collection practices, and data entry procedures - Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems (e.g., ECW, Tebra, Athena, etc.) - Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful but not required for this position This is a full-time position with benefits including paid time off.,
