Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant in the Clinical Haematology, Haemato-Oncology, and Bone Marrow (Stem Cell) Transplantation department, your role involves various key responsibilities: - Accurately complete investigation request forms based on patient needs and doctors instructions. - Input lab results and other relevant data into Haematology and biochemistry records, ensuring precision and timeliness. - Assist in preparing discharge summaries by entering investigation results, patient demographics, and other necessary information. - Prepare and organize patient files for general outpatient department (OPD) visits, ensuring all necessary documentation is included. - Set up equipment and materials required for medical procedures, ensuring everything is in place and ready for use. - Record and enter relevant data discussed during tumor board meetings into the designated group or database. - Print and file key reports such as Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), cytogenetics, and flow cytometry in the patient's file. - Verify the accuracy of blood product orders and make necessary entries in the medical records. - Ensure that chemotherapy consent forms are correctly filled out and signed after patient counseling sessions. - Assist in handing over discharge medications and completing related forms, ensuring patients receive all necessary information and prescriptions. Qualifications required for this role include: - High school diploma or equivalent - B.Sc. Anaesthesia technology - B.Sc. Cardiac technology - B.Sc. Medical laboratory technology - B.Sc. Medical radiography & imaging technology - B.Sc. Optometry - B.Sc.
