  • Create and validate

mechanical concepts, 3D CAD models, and engineering drawings

with attention to accuracy, manufacturability, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop

    novel miniaturized designs

to reduce system footprint while maintaining or enhancing performance.

Engineering Analysis & Validation

  • Perform

stress, thermal, tolerance, and dynamic analyses

to ensure reliability and performance of critical assemblies.
  • Oversee

design validation, system integration, and compliance testing

aligned with regulatory and medical device requirements.
  • Collaborate with optical, electronics, and software engineers to integrate multi-disciplinary subsystems seamlessly.

Manufacturing & Prototyping

  • Define and refine

    fabrication processes

using CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and 3D printing.
  • Support rapid prototyping and iteration, working closely with vendors and internal teams.
  • Establish design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) best practices.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain

    technical documentation

, including design reports, assembly manuals, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Support regulatory submissions by preparing compliance documentation in line with

    ISO13485

    and other relevant standards.

patents and publications

Research & Innovation

  • Stay current with

advancements in opto-mechanics, motion control systems, and imaging technologies

    .
  • Propose and lead R&D initiatives that push the boundaries of precision engineering in microscopy and sensing systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers, sharing best practices in design, problem-solving, and system integration.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree

in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience

in designing and developing microscopic imaging modules, precision gantry systems, and opto-mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong command of

    mechanical engineering fundamentals

: kinematics, dynamics, thermal effects, vibration, and stress analysis.
  • Proficiency in

CAD software (CREO, or SolidWorks, Fusion 360)

for 3D modeling, drafting, and simulations.
  • Practical knowledge of

    materials science

    and a wide range of

    manufacturing processes

(CNC machining, laser cutting, injection molding, 3D printing, sheet metal fabrication).
  • Experience working with

linear/rotary motion systems, actuators, and robotic mechanisms

    .
  • Familiarity with

    compliance testing and documentation processes
