Job Description

Role Overview:

Technical Writer

Key Responsibilities:

Draft, edit, and review
patent applications
, invention disclosures, and related IP documents.
Prepare
scientific manuscripts
, posters, and technical reports for publication or submission.
Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and legal counsel to gather technical data and translate it into accurate and readable content.
Ensure documentation aligns with regulatory standards such as
ISO 13485
,
IVDR
, and other relevant guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of technical content and version control.
Create SOPs, whitepapers, and user manuals as required.
Review and update internal documentation and support
regulatory submissions
.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Masters degree in
Mechanical Engineering
,
Electrical Engineering
,
Biomedical Engineering
,
Biotechnology
, or related field. PhD is a plus.
Proven experience in
technical/scientific writing
, especially in the medical device domain.
Experience with
patent writing or working with patent attorneys
is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of
IP laws
,
patent structure
, and
scientific publication protocols
.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and reference management tools (e.g., EndNote, Mendeley).
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 13485, IVDR, FDA) is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

Prior experience in
startups
or
early-stage product development

Familiarity with
LaTeX

GraphPad
, or scientific illustration tools.
Understanding of laboratory workflows and diagnostics development.
