Job Description

As a skilled Mechatronics Engineer, your role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing an electromechanical dispensing mechanism. Your expertise in mechanical design, embedded systems, and control logic will be key in converting requirements into a fast, stable, and production-ready system. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop a compact electromechanical mechanism for high-speed, precise, single-item dispensing. - Evaluate, select, and integrate actuators, motors (e.g., DC/stepper), rollers, and drive elements for consistent output. - Develop logic to ensure accurate single-item release and prevent double feeds at high-speed operation. - Implement sensor-based feedback for jam detection, item presence detection, and motion validation. - Work with relay/DIO-based triggering systems to ensure reliable actuation timing. - Conduct performance testing to optimize dispensing distance, speed, and reliability. - Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or firmware issues during prototype and deployment phases. - Create documentation including schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and test reports. - Collaborate with the software/electronics team for seamless system integration. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field. - Hands-on experience with motor control systems, actuators, and precision mechanical assemblies. - Strong understanding of sensors, motion control, electromechanical design, and embedded development. - Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.) for mechanical design. - Experience with microcontrollers, relay control, and interfacing DIO signals. - Ability to build prototypes, run experiments, and optimize designs based on test results. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Preferred Experience: - Working with roller-based feed mechanisms or similar high-speed item handling systems. - Experience with industrial automation or custom machine development. - Knowledge of firmware for timing-critical mechanisms. In addition to your role responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to: - Build a unique electromechanical product from concept to deployment. - Work in a collaborative environment with an innovative engineering team. - Receive competitive compensation based on experience. Please note that the job types available for this position are Full-time, Part-time, Contractual/Temporary, Freelance. The work location is in person.
