The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.
The impact you'll make
Designs, develops, modifies and integrates computer-controlled electronic and mechanical systems for the automation of industrial tasks and enhancement of manufacturing, processing or production equipment. Applies advanced electronic control systems, designs and assists in the manufacture of consumer products and in the development of new electro-mechanical concepts for new product lines. Responsible for assembling components, preparing test plans and supporting testing and validation of products.
What You'll Do
- Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team to design, build, test & troubleshoot applications on Lam robotic system
- Prototype, test, and iterate on mechanical, electrical, and software components to optimize performance and reliability
- Create detailed design documentation, technical specifications Integrate sensors, actuators & control systems to enable autonomous operation & intelligent behaviour
- Conduct thorough testing and validation procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Design and conduct test experiments pertaining to the resolution of complex technical problemsImplementation of DOE principles
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during all phases of the project lifecycle
- Generate clear and concise presentations and data driven reports to communicate engineering solutions and provide clear technical recommendations
- Acquire and apply basic engineering theories, methods and research techniques in the investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical problems
- Act as liaison for cross-functional projects across multiple organizations Robotic path programming and computer vision extremely valuable
Who We're Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years with a Master's degree
- Proficient in C++ - CMake, GDB, threading
- Experience on ROS2, MoveIt 2 for production ready products
- Experience working with Cobots like UR and proficient in Motion Planning, Controls, Sensor Fusion, IK
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with robotic hardware design and end effector application development Proficient in MCAD model creations
- Knowledge of URscript and Experience with Behavior tree is a plus
- Experience of using moveit task constructor (MTC) for manipulation applications
- Knowledge of the following languages and frameworks: Python, SQL, OpenCV, ML Platform such as Tensorflow or PyTorch
- Experience in engineering project management, PLM tools and phase gate reviews

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
