Mechanical Technician (Toys testing)

As a member of the Basil Inspection and Testing Services team, your role will involve conducting physical and mechanical safety tests on toys according to international standards. You will also be responsible for performing chemical testing support to identify hazardous substances in toys. Operating and maintaining testing equipment will be a key part of your daily tasks, along with preparing accurate test reports that include clear observations. It will be crucial for you to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and internal quality procedures. Your qualifications for this role should include a Diploma or Degree in Science/Engineering, preferably in Chemistry, Mechanical, or a related field. Additionally, having 1-2 years of experience in product/quality testing, with a preference for experience in toys testing, will be advantageous. A strong technical knowledge of toy safety standards, good documentation and IT skills, as well as attention to detail and a teamwork mindset are essential requirements for this position.
