Research and Design: Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for high-pressure jetting equipment, including pumps, nozzles, and pressure regulators. Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop prototype systems and iterate designs based on performance tests and feedback. Testing & Validation: Plan and conduct mechanical tests to validate the performance, reliability, and durability of new product designs. Develop testing protocols and optimize testing methods for efficiency and accuracy. Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency. Material Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate materials based on performance criteria (e.g., pressure resistance, temperature, durability) for high-stress components. Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide junior engineers in their technical and professional development. Provide leadership in complex engineering challenges. Documentation: Create detailed design specifications, test reports, and product documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, electrical engineers, and software teams to ensure integration of mechanical systems with other product components. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve design issues related to mechanical performance, system integration, and safety. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Masters degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in R&D and product development in industries related to high-pressure systems or heavy-duty machinery. Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for mechanical design and simulation, and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, material science, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and structural analysis. Hands-on experience with prototype development, testing, and iteration in an R&D environment. Familiarity with regulatory standards for safety and quality in mechanical engineering products. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly articulate technical information. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail Innovative and curious mindset with a passion for engineering and product development.
